Actually, things can be achieved by making things yourself or trading. Money is a source of greed. Wow, pieces of paper. Circular bits of metal. Life would be much simpler and better without the greed or the temptation of money. I know what I'm talking about when I say it is the root of all evils. Basically money is used as a reward, and that is the driving motivation for most things. Good people make use of it as well as bad people but I find it is corrupted more often than not.
Without money, you would not be sitting in front of a computer right now. Money provides order to our economic system. It provides incentive to participate in a market, whether it is controlled or competitive. It has been a driving force behind hundreds if not thousands of inventions, including ones you use and enjoy each and every day. So please, don't make vague overarching statements like "it is the root of all evils!"
I was tempted to say 'religion', but in the end, I had to go for 'idiots'. After all, the religion would probably be ok if the people in it weren't stupid. Of course, there's lots of idiots who are athiest too, and smart people, and smart people who believe in the gods, but it's the stupid people that make religion bad.
That's what I think anyway.
