I'm recycling my old art work. I have so many unpublished works I felt guilty about just leaving them to dust in the shelves. So I'm gonna pull em out and redraw / redo / recreate them within the next few weeks.

There are several reasons why I'm actually going through all this art:

1. I got nothing to do.
IN OTHER WORDS I AM REALLY BORED. All I have is exams. It's a pain in the ass to sit through them. It's a pain in the ass to even think about them. So I'm trying to fully ignore them by doing art. Or staying on deviantART. Or least going on to #devart to talk about something that might spark some intelligence. At any rate, everything just got boring-er.

2. Weirdass Dreams.
Kinda got inspired by it.

3. Film
Galaxy Number Seven is pushing me to make art.

4. Everything else
its 42.

About 6 days ago, as a sarcastic remark, I posted this on the complaints forum.

Freesound project is a massive community full of free sound samples. I'm a user of that site. I also upload huge loads of single-hit drum samples as well as several loops. One of my loops was used on Golf Network Japan without credit on August 30th, 2007.

Okay so I've been doing absolutely nothing on devart since November. Cuase I'm a bit going insane.

Anyway.

Galaxy Number Seven is coming along well. I'm now on the storyboards and I might have a chance to scan them this week or next.

I have exams to finish off first. Very VERY VERY VERY VERY BORING, so I'm probably going to end up drawing more boards for Galaxy Number Seven lol.

To simply put, Galaxy Number Seven is about the Skybase character Kai getting abducted by a bunch of aliens and finds himself stranded far away from Earth. All he wants to do is return back to his sad and lonely home.

Boy won't it suck if you don't have a spaceship.



I'm not even sure. It's a 5 to 6 minute animation with a lot of high quality effects for "awesome looks." Who knows how long it'll take for me. I have to paint all mattes. I wanna have someone really uber with flash to do it. I guess I'll put the money on NCH, although he gets busy every now and then....


My plan's based on:
Adobe Photoshop / After Effects CS3
Possibly Apple Motion will accompany some portions.
Final Cut Pro to edit... Reason 4.0 and Logic Pro for music....
SoundTrack pro to record audio in?



I'll do my best to make it unlike DiG. What kept me away from DiG was the fact that I had no real motives except to get it done. This time, my entire life hangs in balance Seriously. I'm trying to get to a college. I'll have to have it done.

I'll do my best to show you what's happening. You guys get to see some of the process.

The problem though is that I have Final tests coming very very soon. It'll suck the life out of me, and I won't be able to do things that get demanded.

Galaxy Number Seven is back on the plate.

YEARS ago, I said "I will make some kind of SouthPark-ish Animation." and yeah I didn't because I never liked the idea in the end, and I never got to it.

Suddenly, it comes up again. Why? Because ONE college (that I really want to go to) wants to see something visual out of it! Great. So I mentioned several planned-animated works like Material Heaven, DiG, and lastly I mentioned Galaxy Number Seven as a total failure. Now, what does this prestigious college do? They somehow got witty and decided to call out the "total failure."

“Your efforts are worth thousands, however, we wish to see 'failed' works to illuminate elements of thought. We want to see how you think and how you plan your projects. We also wish to see some visual works out of it.” - College Person Dude... or thing

They literally snail-mailed me privately just to get this message across. Holy hell.

I can't argue with a college that I want to go to can I? It's a real disappointment they contact me like this. I'm so disappointed already from 2008, that I wish I can scream into their ears "DiG IS BETTER." But as you can see, I am in no such situation. They want it, ^{I'll do it.} _{Fine. Retards.}

I hope you people can understand that. _{BUT I will do it. I will FINISH DiG somehow in the long-run. Please, just be really patient. Even if it takes till 2010 or 3400 AD. I will try my very best to get a totally "for-fun" project done.}



Galaxy Number Seven: despite being a total failure has loads of graphical elements remaining. I saved much of my works on it. I can't show you any. But I can tell you that they're "here" still. Might as well just get started instead of typing all this disappointing garbage.


1. Make Galaxy Number Seven (privately) and then go back to DiG.
2. Write a short story.
3. Make more music
4. Make more art (I hope I have time in college)
5. Make life.

I personally won't tell you where I'm trying to get into. I'm sorry, if I somehow write it, it'll probably be like "Oh he's talking like that about us." they might change their minds. - Hey people, here's the Holiday Challenge. I'm gonna make a 10 min documentary about myself (actually to make myself look good in my college applications.) WITHIN 10 days.

The Rules:
- I am only allowed 7 days to film. And 3 extra days to edit.
- I have to have 2 different types of animation going on.
- I have to show my face NOOOOOO... I guess I should blur it in the deviantART edition.
- I have to explain everything that I am doing.
- I have to include several anecdotes
- I have to make all the elements. Nothing can be borrowed.
- I have to make everything from nothing.

Presentation:
16:9 - 1920X1080 - FULL HD with 5.1 surround (no point, seriously, maybe I should just make all in stereo) For those who are willing to download a god load of data.

16:9 uber small flash-joke-quality for web users.

The Content:
- FILL IT WITH DANGEROUS AMOUNTS OF SELF-LOVE (lol seriously, if I don't put pride into this, I can't submit it... cause they'd go like "oh yeah, he's just acting it all.)
