Tsukiji Fishmarket at around 8 or 9 AM... pretty much the time when the market closes.
The morning sunlight enters from the open roof. The mini trucks pass crazily, stacked with empty styrofoam boxes.... And everyone's about to take a moment's rest.
Tsukiji Fishmarket has been listed in a book called: 1,000 Places to see Before You Die by Patricia Schultz. I recommend visiting during hours when the market is really chaotic with people: 4 or 5 AM. It's usually the times when the best fish are still on the racks.
Scary like the standard back of a Mega-WalMart store. Or a nice social place in one of my MMORPG's. The vehicles where you are, are different though, they are space-saving and compact. I'm sure you know the trucks here in california are immense and lifted five feet off the ground for the hell of it.
I like the arts and crafts section of Seattle fish market. Little glass beads and fish everywhere. The smell alone will knock ya out, but the creativity and community feeling is like that of this photo.
